The beggar shuffles closer to you, maintaining eye contact.
"You really think they can put together// a cracked egg?//"

//[[No.->6]]//"HA!" The beggar points a gnarled finger inches from your forehead.
"HA! HA! They said I was crazy! Look at you! //Fool!//"
[[You both turn to watch them try.->6]]A firetruck comes to a screeching halt just before the crowd. A fireman hops off the truck and hoses down the cobble stone.
[["Nothing to see here, folks,"->7]] he calls to the onlookers. "See?" The beggar says. "They know it. In the end all they've come to do is make us forget."
